Steps for Window Film Installation
Know what to expect for your upcoming project. Learn about the process we use to install window film for Atlanta homes and commercial buildings.
Step #1: Consultation
We begin every project with a consultation. If you are having window film installed for your home, we will meet you at your residence. If your project involves tinting for a commercial property, we’ll send a technician to meet you onsite. During your consultation, one of our experts will examine your windows, take measurements, and show you samples.
For decorative window film, we offer the opportunity to meet with our design team. For security window film installs, we recommend having a safety assessment performed, which we are happy to provide. This way, we can give you the best customized solution.
Step #2: Preparation
During the day of your appointment, our team will meet you onsite. We’ll clean your windows and prime them for installation. If you have ordered a custom decorative film, we will make sure that you have signed off on the design before proceeding further. If you’re having window film installed in a commercial building and need security clearance for our technicians, we will be happy to provide background checks. Once these preparations are complete, we will cut the window film to size and start installing it.
Step #3: Installation
Once your windows have been cleaned and primed, we will install the film. We use C-Bond as a primer because it ensures maximum adhesion and strengthens the glass. C-Bond also expedites the curing time, so you can get results faster.
Post Installation
Once your window film has been installed, it’s important that your refrain from disturbing it. Do not clean your windows for at least 30 days or try to pop bubbles. If the bubbles do not go away, please call us and let us know and we will come out and fix it for you.
